Time Out

1. The wife's back on the warpath again. She was up for making a sex tape last night and all I did was suggest we should hold auditions for her part.

2. I spent a couple of hours defrosting the fridge last night, or "foreplay" as she likes to call it.

3. Bought the missus a hamster skin coat last week. Took her to the fair last night and it took me 3 hours to get her off the Ferris Wheel.

4. The other night, my wife asked me how many women I'd slept with. I told her, "Only you. All the others kept me awake all night!"

5. My missus packed my bags, and as I walked out the front door, she screamed, "I wish you a slow and painful death, you bastard!"Oh," I replied, "So now you want me to stay! Would you make up your mind!"

One Sunday morning, the priest saw little Davey staring up at the large plaque that hung in the church's foyer. The plaque was covered with names and small American flags were mounted on either side of it.
"Father Donovan," the boy asked, "what is this?
"Well, son, it's a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service," the priest explained. They stood together quietly, staring at the memorial plaque. Little Davey softly asked, "Which service? The 9:00 or the 10:30?

A man tells a doctor, "I think my wife's going deaf. What can I do?"
The doctor says, "Well, try to test her hearing. Stand some distance away from her and ask her a question. If she doesn't answer, move a little closer and ask again. Keep repeating this until she answers. That way we can see how bad the problem is." The man goes home, sees his wife and says, "Hi honey, what's for dinner?" He doesn't hear an answer, so he moves closer. "Honey, what's for dinner?" He repeats this several times, until he's standing right next to her.
Finally, she answers, "For the tenth time, I said we're having Pot Roast!"

July Feature Artist

Kathryn Gorectke is a local Regina artist who in her spare time is also a Physical Therapist, mom and wife.  Kathryn has had a lifelong love for art and she dove into the world of acrylics approximately 5 years ago. She is for the most part self- taught but was inspired and encouraged along the way by many great art teachers through the
years. What started with one painting for a church art show has turned into an exciting few years of several local art shows in Prince Albert and Regina and now Saskatoon. She has paintings across the Prairies and as far as Vancouver Island, Baltimore, Seattle, Yellowknife, Toronto, Bolivia and Australia.

Kathryn is inspired by creation around her, and in particular the living skies of the prairies and trees. Kathryn loves to look at landscapes, while in nature or from a photograph and visualize the transformation into a painting. There are so many beautiful pieces of creation just waiting to be painted! There are many painters that have provided inspiration for her journey including the Impressionists, the Group of Seven, Emily Carr and she is spurred on by a community of creative friends and fellow artists.

Pepsi says its new soda will pour like beer

By Aaron Smith  Jun 05, 2015

Just in time for a sweaty summer, Pepsico is eschewing the usual cans and bottles for its upcoming Stubborn Soda, and will sell the new drink strictly through soda fountains.

PepsiCo describes Stubborn Soda as a "craft" style  drink, in a non-alcoholic nod to the ever-growing popularity of craft beer. It will be available in the following flavors: black cherry with tarragon, root beer, lemon berry acai, agave vanilla cream, orange hibiscus and pineapple cream.

Pepsico spokeswoman Gina Anderson wouldn't provide any details on exactly when the drink will be launched and in what parts of the country.

"I can't provide any further details at this time," Anderson said.

Since the drink doesn't come in cans or bottles, it will likely be available only at restaurants. But Anderson wouldn't provide any details on which chains might be carrying these soda fountains either.

Soda companies have been experimenting not only with new products, but the way they're packaged and dispensed.

Coca-Cola just announced a new soda bottle.
