The Bushwakker offers a wide variety of special events. Some are aimed at supporting various community cultural and charitable organizations. Others are intended to help patrons become familiar with food and beverage products that may interest them, like single malt scotches, classic beer styles, beer related cuisine and ethnic cuisine. Events are usually intended for both the beer connoisseur and the neophyte.

Bushwakker Events Calendar
Monday Night Jazz - Live every Monday night
The diversity of the local jazz scene is showcased every Monday night from 8:00PM to 10:30PM. Enjoy live jazz in Regina's only regular live jazz venue. Free admission.
Wednesday Night Folk - Live every Wednesday night
Folk music isn't limited to an acoustic guitar, a lone voice and a campfire anymore. Enjoy local and touring solo artists, duos and bands playing a variety of musical genres from roots, blues, alt-country to celtic. 9:00PM to 11:00PM. Free admission.


First Firkin Friday: The first Friday happy hour each month
Experience the ceremony as a small keg (firkin) of fresh ale is paraded through the pub lead by a piper. A volunteer is selected to drive a tap into the firkin with a handmade wooden maul affectionately named, "The Firkin Wakker". Incredible beer flavour unlike anything else. The volunteer tapper and the spectators within a 20 foot radius are soaked with squirting beer. Will you be the next person chosen to tap the First Friday Firkin? 5:30pm

Bushwakker's Birthday Party/Robbie Burns Night - January
The enthusiasm of our many Bushwakker devotees reaches it's peak as our pub is always at capacity for this annual celebration. Free haggis and free chocolate stout birthday cake, a Bushwakker trivia quiz, fantastic prizes and a live Celtic music performance will have you dancing all night. Shake those January blahs and join the biggest birthday bash in town!


The Valentine's Sweetheart Platter For Two - February 14
Treat your valentine to one of the best values in Regina. Stuffy restaurants and outlandish prices are not the way to impress. Delicious food and a cozy atmosphere are now preferred. Find out for yourself why we seem to be the choice of so many couples. Reservations only please.

 
A Taste of Hungary - March 8
A celebration of all things Hungarian. Enjoy a traditional meal, live band and folk dance performance. Sample some of the special wines and schnapps to really get into the spirit of things. Tickets available in January.
 
St. Patrick's Day Celebration - March
A Bushwakker eventAn Irish celebration! The Guinness is cascading. The bartender's fingers are stained green from concocting Shamrock Lagers. The Irish food features are delicious, and everyone is dancing to the great live Celtic music.


Brewer's Dinner - April 12 - SOLD OUT
It is the defining theme of The Bushwakker to provide delicious beer and delicious food. This evening truly reflects what we are all about. Enjoy a fabulous multi course meal in which each course is prepared with a unique beer style and complemented with a different beer for drinking. Cutting edge beer cuisine awaits!
 
A Chilean Celebration - April 26
Chilean wine, food, live music and a traditional dance performance. Come experience a celebration of life with some of the most passionate people on earth. Tickets available in March.


Tequila Tasting - May 3
Ahh, springtime! Get out the lawn chairs, plant the garden or educate yourself and some of the best made tequilas in the world! Experience six 100% blue agave tequilas which are specially imported for this event. Enjoy live Mexican entertainment. A special Mexican meal is available before the tasting. Experience and learn about the world's fastest growing spirit in this unique event. Tickets available in April.


Doc Robertson's Lobster Night - June 14
Company president, Bev Robertson grew up in New Brunswick. He leads this evening of fine seafood fare ensuring that all tasty morsels are prepared and served the way he savoured them as a young lad. Fresh, live  lobsters are flown in the night before the huge pots of salted water begin to boil! Tickets available in May.


Hallowe'en Costume Keg Giveaway - October 31
Be sure to stop by The Bushwakker while you're making your rounds on Hallowe'en. Anyone in costume is eligible to enter our draw for a keg of our most excellent beer.


Oktoberfest Party - October
What better way to celebrate the bountiful harvest season than with a pint of our Oktoberfest (Harvest) Lager? German food and beer specials are featured plus a live performance of German Oom-Pah music.


  Single Malt Scotch Tasting - November
Held on the first Saturday of each November, the Bushwakker annual single malt scotch tasting is one of our biggest events of the year. Generally, almost 150 enthusiastic scotch fans are in attendance. Six single malts are featured, many of which are imported into the province for the event. Evaluation and discussion of each scotch is lead by Bev Robertson. Entertainment includes a pipe and drum band performance and Highland dancing. Tickets available in early October.
 
  The Regina Symphony Chamber Players - December
Imagine being nestled in a cozy pub with a pint of your favorite ale listening to the classics. If this won't make you feel warm and fuzzy, nothing will.
 
  The Regina Male Voice Choir - December
Our holiday celebrations include a live performance from the oldest continuously operating choir in Saskatchewan. The Regina Male Voice Choir was founded in 1911. Many things have changed since the choir's first annual concert in 1912, but the music is always fresh because these men simply love to sing. Come and listen and then join in for the sing-a-long that follows. It's the best way to get into the spirit of the season!
 
  Connoisseur Beer Tasting Series - various times throughout the year
Special beer tasting theme nights are held in The Bushwakker private clubroom three to four times a year. Generally eight specialty imported beers are discussed and evaluated in each session. Some previous themes include: The Beers of Belgium, Beer and Cheese Pairing, Stouts and Porters, Seasonal and Specialty Beers, High Gravity Beers, The World of Wheat Beers, Understanding Lambics and Red Versus Pale Ales. Proposed future tastings include: Traditional English Styles, Big, Bad Bocks, Fabulous Farmhouse Ales and The Beers of The Big Apple.
